Generally speaking, icons are symbols used to convey meaning. In the context of live chat, TextChat uses headshot icons to help differentiate between live chat users on your team and use logo icons to symbolize your brand. You and your team’s photos are displayed as small icons at the top of the chat widget, at the top of the chat window, and in the live chat conversation itself as well. When you connect to the conversation, your web visitor sees your headshot icon pop up alongside your name. When your web visitor returns to your store the next time, you’ll still have the same small icons displayed on your TextChat so that they will recognize and remember you. It’s a small design detail, but it really makes a difference in creating more humanized and personalized sales interactions.
